getting Wood!

My wonderful husband called me to  the back of the property to check out the tree he had just felled. It was some Dry dead standing Oak!! I was very excited to go and see it but when I got there he had not only cut me some firewood, he had cut me some 1 inch thick slabs!!! It's the most beautiful Golden Oak you have ever seen! What a wonderful wonderful sweety! How lucky I am!
This is how I come by most of my wood. I do not buy any wood-I am VERY proud of that! Here is the process-enjoy! I know I will! :D

Green?

For this month I am featuring Several Green Toned and Themed hair accessories and in the New sense of the word, WtW has always been a green company. My work is always recycled, from the wood to the gems and findings. So it's March and WillowtheWisp has no intention of being pinched! I am ALWAYS green!

Spring flowers

Still snowed in and loving it! Felt some incredible twinges of anticipation today and cannot WAIT to get back into my work mode! I think tomorrow will see me finishing up a couple customs and then carving some spring flowers...nothing wrong with wish full thinking!

to snow or not to snow?!

Stuck inside on a spectacular gloomy day :) After 3 weeks down with a blown disk, I have not had the capacity to carve...the want most definitely, but the standing or sitting position is a no go-SO! Today I direct some of that energy towards my trusty sketch pad! The kids are in school and I am going to take full advantage of the wood stove, the coffee pot and my #2 pencil...with a super fine tip! Enjoy the weather ya'll...it's perfect!
